A few years ago, Alex left his entire life behind to seek freedom, adventure, and happiness. And now, he’s here to inspire travelers like you create a life you’ll truly love.

Before moving to China, he was working as a creative director at one of the top media production companies in Toronto. He had the perfect life on paper – a fat salary, a downtown condo, weekends on the yacht – you get the idea. Then one evening, it all fell apart.

He was told there had been budget cuts, projects were moving to the US, and there was no more money in the Canadian film & television industry.

“It was time for change.”

Long story short, he packed his bags and moved to Shenzhen, China.

It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Now, my life is full of adventure, I have the freedom to do the things I love, and I’m truly happy. Like giggly happy.

The web platform also features a Blog section that helps readers reinvent themselves and resign their lives through teaching and traveling.

Why Alex in Lotusland?

Lotusland means a place inducing contentment. In Homer’s epic poem Odyssey, the men eat the delicious lotus and forget about their homeland, pleading to stay forever in this Lotusland.

Alex is also on an epic journey like Alice in Wonderland. He has tasted the lotus like the sailors in the Odyssey. And he wants to stay here forever.
